EnVyUs have won the Game Show Global eSports Cup finals after moving past dignitas 3-0 in the title decider(16-4 on de_cobblestone, 16-7 on de_mirage and 16-13 on de_inferno).

The first map, de_cobblestone, was dignitas' pick, but the end result would suggest otherwise. Despite hitting back in the first anti-eco round after losing the pistol, the Danes were unable to capitalise on that, which prevented them from building a solid bank.

EnVyUs' economic control was simply crushing, forcing Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen to call a tactical pause at 2-6, but the pattern of the game did not change as dignitas would only claim two more rounds before the end of the half, the second of which courtesy of an impressive quad kill by Ruben "⁠RUBINO⁠" Villarroel.

The second half was just as rough for dignitas as EnVyUs did not take their foot off the pedal, picking up five rounds in a row to seal a convincing 16-4 success.

Happy led the charge on Cobblestone...

Mirage, the second map of the series, began with dignitas getting the opening three rounds of the game after stopping EnVyUs' B push in the pistol round, in which Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke picked up three USP kills in a matter of seconds. Once EnVyUs bought up, however, the dynamic of the game changed, and it did not take them long to get the lead. The rounds dignitas edged out were few and far between, forcing them to go on eco after every round lost, but still they managed to get six rounds on the board at the end of the half.

EnVyUs picked up where they left off and won the pistol round as CT and the corresponding anti-ecos, and even though dignitas hit back in the first gun round, the Frenchmen continued in the driving seat and won the next four rounds to close out the map 16-7.

... but kennyS was the top fragger on the other two maps 

It all came down to de_inferno, which would turn out to be the most interesting map of the series. dignitas got off to a great start and built a 2-0 lead, but then EnVyUs rallied back and won a staggering seven consecutive rounds. The game was starting to look lopsided, but dignitas proved that they still had a say and won five of the next six rounds to reduce the deficit to just one round at the end of the half.

Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey went huge in the pistol round as CT and picked up four kills - all headshots -, with EnVyUs going on to take the first anti-eco round. A third-round by from dignitas proved successful, and what followed was a chaotic period in which rounds kept going back and forth. With the score 13-13, EnVyUs called a timeout in an attempt to catch their breath, and the break did halt dignitas' momentum, giving the Frenchmen the chance to win three rounds in a row to seal a 16-13 victory.
